Cubbie needs a canine "Whisperer"

CubbieOne of our dogs, Cubbie (a 3 yr old Kelpie) is in dire need of a new good home, where he can be understood, utilized for his talents and appreciated. Our new enviornment has limitations that do not allow us to keep Cubbie. Yes, I'm sick about this and therefore asking for your assistance.

He's very special. He does need work either to enhance his herding talents and put them to great use, or to keep him close so he doesn't get in trouble by herding animals he shouldn't. Time and commitment to working with him; his loyalty, agility and love will be returned 10 fold. I promise. Cubbie would make a phenomenal agility competitor, he's fast as a bullet and listens. He's also my hero . . . after saving Brittany and Madi from a Mountain lion attack and Madi from a rattlesnake bite last spring. You may ask, how could I ever give him up?? It's complicated . . .

If you know anyone on a ranch who wants a canine companion that will be their constant, loving, loyal, protective and incredibly responsive best friend. Or an canine agility individual who is looking for a new partner, Cubbie would be amazing with positive reinforcement training. This individual will need to have the time to commit to his need for extensive mental and physical stimulation. Herding or agility would make his heart sing!

Please have anyone who may be able to help contact me directly.

Volunteer at the Animal Shelter
Students can earn community hours by volunteering at the local animal shelters. If your child is under the age requirement a parent can volunteer with the student. How fun is that?! Each shelter has a class program to learn how to handle the animals before volunteering. Call or details and age requirements.
